Go beyond your story.

Book Coaching

If writing a book was easy, a lot more people would be authors.

5 of my books have been published, and I’ve helped dozens of other professionals, teachers, and leaders bring their insights and ideas to life — and to market.

Training & Advising

Move beyond coaching, beyond therapy.
Lead better. Live fully.

Work with me creates better men and women, more capable leaders, wiser parents and partners, bolder visionaries, and humans who know how to realize their full potential.

About me

Get what you want, even as getting it clarifies a deeper path.

For my book clients, I support the creation of works that have grace and power, written methodically and over a predictable time frame. From high level edits to ghost writing, and from marketing to book promotion, I ensure that accomplished and driven individuals bring their book to life and get it out into the world.

For those I train and advise, I help them to uncover their true purpose, cultivate the discipline to get it, and harness the emotional maturity needed to show up fully in it. My specialities are challenging transitions in work, home life, relationship, leadership, or financial freedom.

When the Buddha Needs Therapy

Beware of the spiritual teacher who thinks he or she is beyond shadow work. And beware the student who thinks their teacher is beyond it – they have set the stage for scandal, abuse, and the creation of a cult.

It seems reasonable that the teachers of spirituality should know better, act more ethically, and be more transformed — be more adult — in their shadows than the rest of us. After all, what's the point of being a so-called spiritual master if you can’t keep it in your pants?

But what is the relationship to awakening and shadow? Is it like my teacher taught me, that awakening means fully awakening a human being, shadows and all?

I’ve come to understand this position — that enlightenment transforms psychological shadows — is impossible, self-deceptive, and highly destructive to both teachers and their students. To understand why, we need to understand two things better: shadow and awakening.

“This is a terrific book, fully embracing a truly Integral perspective and highly recommended.”

— Ken Wilber, Author of The Integral Vision

“This book chronicles interfaces between enlightened states and healthy functioning in the material world.”

— Dr. Keith Witt, author of Shadow Light, Loving Completely, and Integral Mindfulness

“Keith cuts through the dualistic conflict of a spiritual identity and dysfunctional victim mentality.  But be warned: the first step on this path is the deconstruction of your precious ‘spiritual identity,’ so proceed with caution ... and persistence!”

— Doshin Michael Nelson Roshi, Abbot, Integral Zen

“Keith offers a thoughtful view of the relationship of psychotherapy to spiritual insight..”

— Diane Musho Hamilton Roshi, author of Everything Is Workable: A Zen Approach to Conflict Resolution

“This book achieves the extraordinary task of challenging the notion that spiritual awakening can happen in any other way than being fully in this world. It is in the fullness of our lives, and only there, that the possibility of true freedom and awakening lies.”

— Lisa Dion, LPC, RPT-SPresident of the Synergetic Play Therapy Institute and creator of Synergetic Play Therapy

 Other Books

"This is a legendary story of an inspiring teacher that mirrors the journey of many contemporary Western seekers. A flash of white light from psychedelic theophanies leads to a lifetime's pursuit of enlightenment under the Buddha dharma prayer flag."

Alex Grey, artist & author

“This is one of the most important works on spiritual realization to be written in years. There’s really nothing like this out there…you really can’t afford to miss this revolutionary process for your own awakening and enlightenment. My absolutely highest recommendation.”

Ken Wilber, author of The Integral Vision

“From the banalities of the corporate work machine to the devastating effects of random brutality, 'Only Everything' is raw, riveting, and relatable, and leaves a lasting impression on the heart and psyche….”

Sarah Beasley, author of Kindness for All Creatures
